TIO Chiro & Physio is a physiotherapy clinic in Petaling Jaya, located at Megahrise Mall, Taman Megah. We treat back pain, neck pain, sports injuries, and post-surgery rehabilitation using hands-on techniques and evidence-based exercise therapy, with every treatment plan built around how you move, work, and want to recover.
Whether you’re dealing with a nagging injury, recovering from surgery, or managing a long-term musculoskeletal condition, our physiotherapists assess the root cause of your pain rather than just treating the symptom, so recovery holds up once you’re back to daily life.
Every patient starts with a proper assessment, not a standard routine. The TIO Integrated Rehabilitation Approach combines manual therapy with targeted exercise, dry needling, and modalities like EMS and shockwave therapy where appropriate, so your treatment plan is built around your specific injury, not a one-size-fits-all protocol.
Pain rarely has a single cause. Recovery from a sports injury or post-surgery rehab depends on more than just treating the sore spot: how you move, compensate, and load the area day to day all factor in. Our physiotherapists assess these patterns first, then build a plan that combines hands-on treatment with a home exercise programme, so progress continues between sessions and holds up once you’re back to normal activity.

BSc (Hons) Chiropractic — Founder & Lead Chiropractor
Dr. Tio Zhi Yong is the founder and lead chiropractor at TIO Chiro & Physio, with over a decade of clinical experience in musculoskeletal health and pain management. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Chiropractic from IMU Malaysia in 2015.
Dr. Tio is certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling for pain management and sports injuries, and completed the Össur Unloader FIT Brace Training Workshop (2016) for conservative management of knee osteoarthritis, both of which remain core parts of his clinical practice today.
He takes a whole-person approach to care, combining spinal manipulation, soft tissue therapy, dry needling, orthopaedic bracing, and corrective exercise, working closely with our physiotherapy team to deliver integrated, whole-person treatment plans, combining hands-on therapy, targeted exercise, and patient education so recovery is built to last, not just symptom relief that wears off.

Physiotherapy focuses on restoring movement and function through exercise and manual therapy, while chiropractic care focuses on spinal and joint alignment. Many patients benefit from both, and our team will recommend the right combination during your assessment.
This varies by condition and severity. Most patients see initial improvement within 3 to 6 sessions, with a full plan confirmed after your first assessment.
No referral is required. You can book directly with our clinic for an initial assessment.
